As a small business, Isabel Emerson Design wants to blend the creation of art with environmental stewardship.
It is a goal to spend 2023 working towards a pending B Corporation Certification and 2024 as the year to become certified.
But Why?
The planet needs us all to be advocates for her well-being. Just like a sister with a new baby, or a friend to share a coffee with, our planet needs every drop of help we can give her. So let’s start giving her that help.
And How?
The creation of art does not traditionally lend well eco-friendly practices. But let’s change that- together. First, using everything here at Isabel Emerson. We are lucky to still use gifted resources (paint and canvas) from another artist.
At the beginning? Ick. Harder? Yes. More expensive?
Probably. But regardless of these seemingly vast challenges, we have to try. And try, we will. Together.
Where can paint be sourced naturally (berries, clay, and all things from the Earth here in Minnesota)? How can we use 100% recycled paper? Can we reduce packaging waste?
